Dr. Michael Perrone is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with dual-fellowship training in Orthopedic Sports Medicine and Foot & Ankle Surgery. Dr. Perrone and his team serve patients throughout Los Angeles County, with offices in East Los Angeles, DTLA-Wilshire and Santa Fe Springs.

 

Originally from New York, Dr. Perrone completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida, where he earned his Bachelor’s in Health Science and Master’s in Public Health with a concentration on public health policy and administration. He then moved on to the Morsani College of Medicine at the University of South Florida in Tampa. He graduated in 2014 and earned election into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.

 

Dr. Perrone completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Chicago in Illinois in 2019. Dr. Perrone completed an orthopedic sports medicine fellowship in 2020 at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Institute in Los Angeles, California. While there, he served as an associate team physician for several professional and collegiate teams, including the LA Galaxy, the USC Trojans Men’s Football Team, and the Anaheim Ducks. He then received additional specialized training in sports injuries of the foot & ankle at the Steadman Clinic and Steadman Philippon Research Institute in Vail, Colorado. There, Dr. Perrone had the opportunity to serve as an associate team physician for the United States Ski & Snowboard Team – a role he still maintains today.

 

Dr. Perrone is a committee member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) and is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS).
